July 9th, 2009 | Posted in Day 36
An explosive argument ripped through the house in the early hours of this morning as Noirin and Siavash argued over an alleged comment Siavash had made to her. Fuelled by booze, in the end a number of the housemates got involved in what turned out to be a major argument about a small comment - about rabbits, of all things…
The origins of the argument lie earlier on the evening when Siavash claims to have told Noirin, “I think people think, if you believe my judgement, that you go group to group, hopping about, like a rabbit.” Now from here it gets a little blurry - Noirin claims Siavash told her Kris and Karly had called her a rabbit, while Siavash maintains that he mentioned no names - and even if he did, he was talking about thinking what they said, not what they may have actually said.
Regardless of what Siavash actually said however Noirin confronted Karly and Kris about their apparent comments, both of whom denied saying anything despite Karly turning as red as tomato and looking like, maybe ironically, a rabbit in headlights.
“Who, me?”… Did Karly call Noirin a rabbit?
Now thinking Siavash had been lying to her, she confronted him in the bedroom and asked him about his previous comments, which he flat out denied. Despite this Noirin pressed him “Just tell me what was said!” she demanded from the events organiser.
“I would never repeat a conversation someone had with me,” he replied calmly before calling the housemates a “bunch of f**king dicks” and flouncing out of the room. Siavash quickly reappeared however as Noirin would not let the matter drop. Talk then turned to nominations with Siavash saying he will be up next week and even proposing him and Noirin nominate themselves as to prove who was right and wrong in their argument. Will the pair get punished for their lax nomination talk? Noirin didn’t care and repeated her earlier pleas for “the truth”, “What was said? Just tell us what was said?” she asked Siavash.
“It goes against everything I’ve said so far in the house,” said Siavash, adding, “All I know is you’ve lost a good friend tonight.” The housemates between themselves tried to figure out what was going on and who was in the right, with no substantial conclusions being drawn. Noirin called on Halfwit to back her side of the story that Siavash had told her Kris and Karly had called her a rabbit, he however claimed to be in the toilet at the time. The response from him when Noirin implied he was lying for his friend however was quite poetic and something you must watch on tonight’s highlights show, or if you can’t wait in the below clip:

Halfwit… goes on the attack
Regardless the group continued to try and work out what exactly was said between Noirin and Siavash with it turning into a game of Chinese whispers. In the end however things calmed down and most of the housemates went off to bed. Expect Noirin. She took Marcus into the sitting area for a telling off, “Why didn’t you say what happened? You supported your friend over the truth, I look like a big dick and a liar! I know Kris wouldn’t say that about me!”
“I couldn’t remember what names, if any were said,” He said to Noirin’s annoyance, “Karly, Charlie, Kris, Lisa, Rodrigo, Dogface, all of them could have been said.”
“Someone is f**king lying,” Noirin concluded.
Back in the bedroom and Siavash wanted to make sure people knew and truth from his point of view, “I said to her ‘I think people think, if you believe my judgement, that you go group to group, hopping about, like a rabbit.’”
“Where is [Noirin] getting Kris and Karly from then?” asked a voice in the darkness.
“No Kris, no Karly,” Siavash confirmed.
Noirin then went to the diary room returning 30 minutes later to an awaiting Marcus. The pair discussed the argument with Siavash and Noirin was still adamant she was in the right, “He has made me look bad, he has made up a lie about two of my friends. I betrayed him because I don’t trust him and I was right not to trust him.”
What a night! But who was right? Check back later…
