Big Bogan Monday night nominations are tipped to be scrapped and so is the series' UpLate show, which is hosted by Mike Goldman.
UpLate is tied in with a phone-in quiz show although it's said not to be making as much moolah as it did when it first started a few years ago.
The changes for BB 2008 are coming thick and fast. Already Gretel Killeen has been removed to make way for Idol judge Kyle Sandilands and the cursed lady of TV Jackie O.
In addition to Gretel's departure, Kris Noble has been replaced by Rory Callaghan as managing director of BB production company Endemol Southern Star. UpLate is expected to be cut or at best reformulated and there's no guarantee Mike will remain as host.

Gretel Killeen was given the big heave-ho by Big Brother this year. Now there's talk her sidekick Mike Goldman could be following her.
The man also known as the voice behind the A-Mart All Sports commercials has been spotted in Brisbane this week, deep in conversation with Nine's head of entertainment Asif Zubary. The pair were seen chatting over coffee at the networking mecca La Dolce Vita in Milton yesterday.
Given that Ten is tipped to scrap Big Brother Up Late next year as part of their "freshening up", it's no surprise Mike is looking elsewhere for a job.
The removal of Up Late would leave him with just Daily Show voiceover duties and Friday Night Games with Bree Amer and Ryan Fitzgerald.
Nine, meanwhile, could be interested in the rubber-faced presenter given the BB spin-off Friday Night Download, which Mike co-hosts, out-rated Nine's Funniest Home Videos for the first time last week.
A Ten insider yesterday admitted they were unaware Mike was meeting with anyone from a rival network while a mouthpiece from Endemol Southern Star says that Mike and Asif, who worked together two years ago when Asif was with Ten, are mates from "way back".
Meanwhile, Gretel is wasting no time in her job search since she was sent packing after the show's worst ratings season ever.
Replaced by snappy radio duo Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O in September, Gretel spoke at the time of a string of projects she was looking forward to, but, so far, few have materialised.
Now, after years of handling her own business affairs, the former BB den mother has decided to hire a manager to drum up some work. She has enlisted the services of Creative Representation, owned by Rove McManus's manager Kevin Whyte. Gretel is to shoot her first film next year and it's now likely she'll have some other projects up and running soon.

This includes more repeats of episodes of US dramas, but also introducing more local content.
For example, the revamped Big Brother, with Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O take the hosting reins from Gretel Killeen, could be extended.
Though negotiations between Ten and BB producer Endemol have at times been difficult, Mott insists Ten is committed to reinventing the format.
"Discussions (with Endemol) were about where we saw the show going creatively and what changes we needed to make,'' Mott says.
"No single person could have done as well as Gretel, so I had to come up with a unique proposition and that was Kyle and Jackie. It says danger, it says I (the viewer) don't know what to expect. Kyle will throw bricks at certain housemates and Jackie will be there with the Band-Aids.''
Mott says Ten is likely to bring back an adults-only version of Big Brother, ditched after a string of incidents triggered community and political outrage.
"There was mounting pressure on the show this year and two things happened. We got rid of Adults Only, which was unfortunate, and we cast the housemates too soft. That won't happen again.''

More indications that Adults Only will return, with Ten programming chief telling the Herald Sun that it was "unfortunate" that the show was axed, saying it's likely a version of the show will return to accompany BB08.
The article also suggests that the series, previously rumoured to have been cut short to as little as 10 weeks, could be extended due to the on-going US writers strike meaning a limited number of episodes of US series. It's also likely the strike could influence how Big Brother is scheduled across the week if Ten find themselves with more hours to fill in the schedule.
The writer's strike has already benefited Big Brother in America, which will screen it's ninth series in the ratings season for the first time. CBS have now confirmed BB9USA will premiere on Tuesday 12th February, and then air on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays. CBS plan to air a tenth US series in it's traditional summer slot later in 2008.
Meanwhile in the UK, Dermot O'Leary has announced he is quitting as host of companion show Big Brother's Little Brother after seven years. Dermot, who this year took over as host of The X Factor, will say his goodbye to Big Brother when he fronts Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack, which launches on Thursday 3rd January.
Dermot will front the live evictions as celebrities "hijack" the role of Big Brother and take control of a group of "gifted" 18-21 year-olds competing for a prize of £50,000. Davina McCall will return to front Big Brother 9 in mid-2008.

Starting tomorrow the public will get to decide who goes into the Big Brother house.
In an Australian first, budding 2008 housemates were asked to make a 90 second YouTube style video to be posted on the Big Brother site to be judged by the general public.
The first of the audition video's will go "live" tomorrow.
The top three will have a guaranteed spot in the house and the Top 50 will automatically go through to the second round of auditions.
In previous years Big Brother has held public auditions in major cities which have attracted up to 40,000 entrants.
Some of the videos are said to feature previous Big Brother housemates, desperate to get back on the show.
While the site goes live tomorrow, entries have not closed and wannabe housemates can still enter their videos.

IT'S time to . . . vote, for next year's Big Brother housemates, with the audition tapes of all entries going online today.
Under the new-look format, who gets inside the 2008 Channel Ten asylum will be decided in part by the lunatics - we mean the devoted viewers.
Showreels apparently include a few entries from ex-housemates trying their luck again, but all will be revealed and only three will be chosen to go into the Gold Coast compound next year.

After a few stuff ups earlier in the week, the official site has re-launched, offering hundreds of videos from this year's hopeful housemates.
Applicants have their own page on the website, which contains information from their application including stats like age, martial status, state, and a short description. Anyone can view the videos, but a Network Ten/Big Brother website membership is required to vote on the videos.
The three applicants that receive the most votes will instantly become BB housemates (subject to testing from Big Brother and other terms & conditions), with the following 50 going on to the next step in the application process.

Celebrity Fix kirjoitti: Ex-housemate Vesna one of Big Brother's wannabes
I think just about every Big Brother fan is sick of seeing the same good-looking bogans with zero personality go into the house. That's what made the 2007 series so boring - a critic from the Sydney Morning Herald was spot on when he likened the housemates to the two-dimensional types you might see at a Gold Coast Fitness First.
But it looks like things might just be different when the series returns in 2008. For the first time, Big Brother's masterminds have launched a contest where we decide who goes in the house. Entrants have submitted videos to Big Brother's official website (which went live last week), and the three whose videos score the most votes will actually be on the show.
While it's true that the voting public could end up putting three bogans into the house, some of the wannabes are real corkers. Check out some of my highlights:
Vesna from 2005's series is back! (I could've sworn her video depicted an impersonator, but it turns out that she's the real deal.) But Vesna says she's a changed woman since we last saw her - nowadays she has blonde hair.
Speaking of former housemates giving it another go, you might remember Paul as the surfie bogan who terrorised housemates in Big Brother's fourth season. He's back for another shot - rightly pointing out that there's no rule against former housemates trying out - and promising to be as "intimading" (his typo, not mine) as ever.
Kevin describes himself as "funny", "infectious" and a "midget". Yes, he's a little person, and if he makes it to the show he'll be the first small-statured person to ever compete in Big Brother. Having such a person in the house would play havoc with the camera angles, but think of the entertainment value of someone who can kick himself in the head!
Attilio is one of the most popular potential housemates so far, dazzling viewers with his hyperactive array of impersonations. Apparently audiences really like larger-than-life loudmouths - could Atillio be in with a shot?
Michael seems like just another regular Joe with no chance of getting into the house... until he reveals that he's a witch. Will he cast spells on housemates who rub him the wrong way?
Pammy describes herself as a "fun-loving granny with knockers to [her] knees". Enough said.
Danielle seems to be accident-prone: in her minute-long video, she falls off a clothesline, can't manage to bounce a ball, an injures herself with her firesticks. Imagine what she'd do if she was allowed to run free in the house - ouch.
